During the Light Harvesting Satellite Meeting 2026, a conference held in the context of the International Conference of Photosynthesis Research (ICPR), our PhD student Elena Betti was awarded a poster prize. In her contribution entitled “From Single Antennas to Supercomplexes: Light Harvesting in Plant Photosystems”, she showed how we built quantum chemical models of the two large photosynthetic machines found in plant, Photosystem I and II, and how we used them to gain new insights into the photophysics of these complex systems.
