MolecoLab was proudly represented at the 21st Congress of European Society for Photobiology last week in Bari (Italy), with three members contributing to key symposia on cutting-edge research in photosynthesis and photobiology.
- Prof. Lorenzo Cupellini served as chair and invited speaker in the symposium "Computational Methods in Photosynthesis and Photobiology", delivering a talk titled: "Photoactivation and Quenching Mechanism of Orange Carotenoid Protein from Multiscale Simulations."
- Dr. Laura Pedraza-González was an invited speaker in the symposium "Multiscale Time-Resolved Structural Dynamics of Light-Sensitive Biomolecules", presenting: "How Hydroxylated Carotenoids Enable Ultrafast Energy Transfer in the Kin4B8 Rhodopsin: A Multiscale Computational Study."
- PhD student Piermarco Saraceno gave a contributed talk on: "First-Principles Simulations Unveil the Effect of Mutations on Light Harvesting."
👏 Congratulations to all speakers for sharing MolecoLab’s research with the international photobiology community!
